The Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture (CSCMA) has elected a new council
The 6th Council of CSCMA was elected by members through a democratic election under the witness the legal notary on December 20, 2016, generating the result with Sun Xiao Bing as the President. Andy Cheung, Xu Guo Nan, Tang Qiang, Denny Tsui, Chen Chung yen, Tang Geng Min, Liu Xin Sheng, Lu Xiao Bo, Jiang Sui Zheng and Grace Leung were elected as Directors. Zhang Hao, Jill Ray and Xia Zhiquan were as the elected Alternate Directors. (Names not in specific order)
CSCMA will continue uphold and carry forward the culture of the traditional Chinese medicine, organize various seminars to help members in fulfilling the CTCMPAO annual requirements on continuing education credits, improve members standard of practice, actively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members and accept members comment and supervision. At present, the paramount task is to assist members to do well on their self-assessment and professional development plans, and a smooth transition into General Class registration.
Our new president Sun Xiaobing said that in his new term of office he looks forward to a great unity in the Association. There will be a better healthier development in the business under the light of fairness and openness. The Association will continue to maintain a good communication with the CTCMPAO, to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests for our members. CSCSMA has been one of the largest TCM professional organizations in the province. We continue welcome TCM practitioners from all backgrounds to join the Association; together we can create a better future for TCM development in Ontario. The new Board will, as always, lead our members to serve the community, and each of our registered member, as a member of the Ontario health care system, will better contribute to our local public health care system.
